Since 1887 the members of the Alert Fire Company No. 1 have provided volunteer fire protection and emergency services to the residents and businesses of Downingtown Borough and East Caln Township. From their humble beginnings over 135 years ago, they have continued to be a non-profit 501(c)3 organization and funds the facilities at 122 West Pennsylvania Avenue in Downingtown through fundraising events and donations. This could not have been accomplished over the years without the donations, funding, and support of the local business community, friends, and residents.

This will be the 8th year that they are hosting a golf tournament to assist with their operations budget, which is constantly increasing due to normal cost increases of our utilities and our day-to-day operations.
